Hermeneutics
Comes from the Greek 'Hermes': to transmute messages from gods to humans. Hermeneutic understanding: understanding the original intention of the author of text written; information conveyance with understanding; involved 'Dasein'; insight and wisdom. Hermeneutics is a more widely defined discipline of interpretation theory as it includes the entire framework of the interpretive process which encompass all forms of communication: written, verbal, and nonverbal. Hermeneutics is existential understanding, a more authentic way of being in the world than simply as a way of knowing -- Martin Heidegger.
