Abstract

The article is about the economic driver in today’s economy, the knowledge, and more specifically about the use of the methods to manage innovations in knowledge-driven economy. As a part of innovation process, knowledge specifically focuses on innovation management technologies. Those technologies aim to improve the firm’s competitiveness in terms of knowledge management. Traditionally innovation is research-based, and knowledge plays a critical role in encouraging this innovation. Speaking of business innovation management, the article shows a different set of methodologies and tools to clarify and facilitate both, a conceptual framework in the area and a consensus among the relevant actors developing and using those methodologies. Knowledge in terms of the adaptive cycle, is one of the primary component in all quadrants, thus being a vital part in the ecological resilience of the business.
